Kurt Wells

A relentless commitment to excellence, steadfast work ethic, passionate energy, and tough-minded optimism are a few key attributes that Kurt brings to the Center for Great Work Performance (CGWP) as a Co-Founder and Partner. With nearly 30 years of experience, Kurt has spent many years in operations outsourcing, contact center, workforce performance management, human capital, employee development, technology, and the staffing industry. He helped two privately-held staffing companies grow and position for sale to publicly-traded entities. Both sold well above industry multiple averages. Within these firms, Kurt held nearly every position across field operations, business development, and executive management.

Throughout his career, Kurt has also been a part of several executive management, M&A due diligence, and consultation teams as well as being an entrepreneur and business owner. In addition to Kurt’s staffing experience, he has founded and/or co-founded numerous companies. As a means to harness his professional knowledge and background, Kurt founded WELLSOLV=D Services in order to help companies with their workforce, staffing, talent development, and overall business growth initiatives. As such, seeing a demand for talent pipeline development and opportunities for improved learning and performance outcomes within workplace/workforce training and higher education through work-based/experiential learning, Kurt co-founded ApprenticeshipWorx. Starting out initially as a way to educate and advocate for experiential, work-based learning and apprenticeship program awareness, ApprenticeshipWorx (now part of CGWP) has grown into an Ambassador and Intermediary helping employers, students/employees, government agencies, and education/training providers create and implement registered apprenticeship programs with national standards throughout the United States. Kurt also co-founded a technology company, ULIMI which delivers custom software development solutions. Key platforms include Click360 - a performance management/employee engagement suite (workforce development/management & student work-based learning administration), TalentHUB - a web-based platform integrating people to companies and education/training providers, and a variety of other business and human resources related software technologies.

A Midwest native of Evansville, Indiana, Kurt received a soccer scholarship to attend Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, where he was a four-year starter, a member of Chi Psi Fraternity, an Algernon Sidney Sullivan scholar, and a part of student government. Kurt graduated with key areas of study in Political Science (major), Communications (minor), and Business Administration (minor). Kurt was two term president of the Rollins Alumni Board of Directors and a member of the Rollins Board of Trustees as well as 2-year national chair of Chi Psi Fraternity’s Executive Council. Kurt is also involved with a variety of charitable boards, trade organizations, incubator/start-up communities, sports teams as well as civic and political endeavors. Kurt spent many years in central Florida and now resides with his wife (Carol) of 26 years and their three children in Cincinnati, Ohio.
